Wheels
Spin each wheel. It should rotate freely and silently. Check for cracks in the tread, wobble in the housing and hair wrapped around the axle.
Handle
Extend the telescoping handle to each stop and confirm it locks firmly. Push it down and make sure it seats fully. Tug the top and side carry handles to check the anchors.
Zippers
Run every zipper end to end. A slider that feels loose or a zipper that separates behind the slider needs a new slider before you travel.
Shell and fabric
Look at each corner for cracks, thinning fabric or split seams. Press gently on hard-shell corners and listen for creaking, which indicates a hidden crack.
Locks and hardware
Test the combination lock, check feet and bumpers, and confirm your ID tag is attached and current. If anything fails this check, call us. Most fixes are same-day.
